BenQ has expanded its S series digital camera line-up with the launch of S1410 digital camera. This one’s clearly for the young megapixel-hungry consumers with a 14 megapixel sensor and 1/2.33-inch CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom lens, 5cm super macro focus and 26mm wide-angel lens with OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) feature. If you are looking at a device to capture detailed, crisp photos, this camera with its anti-shake feature can come in handy.

The already-mentioned OIS feature on the S1410 prevents blur on shots. In fact, this one’s is the first compact camera from BenQ to sport this feature.

The company has informed that the 5cm Super Macro delivers the same level of magnification and detail at 5 cm as conventional macro provides at 3 cm. The super macro mode allows users to take effective close-up shots.

The combination of 26mm wide-angle lens with 5x optical zoom enables wide-angle shots ensuring users can capture a larger area, and include everyone in the frame even when shooting a close-up group picture. The camera is capable of 720p HD movie recording. An interesting feature is the ‘Face Beautifier’ that can soften skin tones and do away with wrinkles and blemishes while preserving a natural appearance.

The S1410 will be available in China immediately, in Asia Pacific and Latin America next month, and in Europe this December.
