Apple announced that the International shipping of iPad will be delayed a month because of the Huge demand for iPad in the US. According to the press report from Apple it looks like iPad won’t be available outside the US until the end of May. The iPad Wi-Fi model hit the the U.S. on April 3 and the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G model is supposed to be available by the end of April. It was planned that outside U.S. iPad will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the U.K. at the end of this month. But because of the huge demand in U.S the iPad is delayed in the rest of the world.

Apple Press Release on iPad Delay

Although we have delivered more than 500,000 iPads during its first week, demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks as more people see and touch an iPad™. We have also taken a large number of pre-orders for iPad 3G models for delivery by the end of April.

Faced with this surprisingly strong US demand, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the international launch of iPad by one month, until the end of May. We will announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders on Monday, May 10. We know that many international customers waiting to buy an iPad will be disappointed by this news, but we hope they will be pleased to learn the reason—the iPad is a runaway success in the US thus far.

The iPad Wi-Fi model costs $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB and $699 for 64GB. The iPad Wi-Fi + 3G model will cost $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for 64GB. You can look out eBay if you are very much interested in buying the iPad in your country. There are many sellers who are selling iPad on eBay.
