Samsung Galaxy Tab to Hit Indian Shelves on Nov 10, Singapore Launch Scheduled for Nov 13

For all those in India and Singapore who want to try an alternative to Apple’s iPad and have been waiting for the next tablet device to get launched in the market have been granted their wish as Samsung is all set to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab in the two countries this month.

For those in India, this Android-powered device will be available November 10 onwards for Rs. 38,000, which roughly amounts to $826. In addition to the unlocked SIM-free version, reports say that Reliance will be one of the first carriers to offer the device with Tab-specific plans. It is yet to be seen though what these plans will entail.

For Singapore, SingTel, the country’s leading carrier will be the official carrier for the device. Pre-orders are already in process and shipping dates have been scheduled for November 13. The SIM-free device will cost SG$998 and interested users can pair it with one of the 3G Flexi plans starting at SG$ 39 up to SG$95.
