If you are still using a webmail service other than Google and are fearing to move to Google as it might be difficult moving all your contacts and mails to Gmail then you will not be unhappy anymore. Google has released a new feature which will help people to try out Google mail without any trouble. With the new feature you can easily import all your contacts from Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, MSN and many more to Google. Moreover you can import messages sent to your old account for up to thirty days.

The new feature of importing your mail and contacts from other accounts to Gmail is available for newly created accounts and it will be rolled out slowly to existing users. In newly created accounts the “Accounts” tab is changed to “Accounts and Import” where you can Import mail and contacts from Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL, or other webmail or POP3 accounts.

In the latest accounts I also observed that “Add another email address you own” has been changed to “Send mail from another address”. This feature helps you to add a custom ‘From’ address.
