OnLive Gaming Service Available For PC and Mac With a Free One Year Subscription

All the gamers worldwide can now rejoice playing games without worrying about the PC or Mac specs and about time and memory consuming installation procedures. Yeah! You heard it right. The most awaited and most hyped OnLive, the online gaming service has made its official entry into the market. Its cloud gaming service will completely change the gaming world, as it facilitates users to instantly play some of the top games at a small monthly fees.

All the hardware/software specifications required for running these games will be ‘in the cloud’ utilizing the resources available in OnLive’s servers, and in order to play these games on your Intel Mac processor or a Windows PC’s, all you require is a broadband Internet connection. Launch titles of OnLive Gaming Service include Assassin’s Creed 2, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Mass Effect 2, NBA 2K10, DiRT 2, and more. Initially OnLive will allow users to sign up for free(until July 15th) and provide them with an intensive of one year subscription, but moving forward, it will charge a minimal amount of $4.95 per month. This free one year offer is only for the monthly subscription fee only and the users might require paying the cost of games, which will range from $5 to $55.

Steve Perlman says that they will soon add new features to their OnLive Gaming Service for enhancing its performance levels. Also working upon a MicroConsole, which would allow users to play games on a TV, OnLive gaming service will support 4 wireless controllers with multiple Bluetooth headsets, HDMI out, optical audio and USB support. Is this the next revolution in the gaming world, will the top-notch gaming companies like Ubisoft, EA bring all their games to this untested platform, is something we have to look forward for!
