Valve Announced “The Sacrifice” DLC – Prequel to “The Passing” For Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2

Valve, the leader of technologies like Steam, Source and the creator of the best-selling game franchises like Half-Life, Counter-Strike and has now announced a new add-on – “The Sacrifice” for its most popular co-operative zombie thrillers – Left 4 Dead (L4D) and Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2). Being the prequel to the “The Passing”, this add on is scheduled to release on October 5, 2010.

Advancing the stories of L4D and L4D2 further,”The Sacrifice” introduces a new style finale featuring “Sacrificial Gameplay” where players get to decide who will give their life so that others might survive. The Sacrifice for Left 4 Dead brings in complete Sacrifice campaign with maps playable in Campaign, Versus, and Survival wherein L4D 2 players will get Sacrifice campaign along with L4D1’s “No Mercy” feature that allows gamers to play with the L4D1 Survivors.

L4D will have 5 new achievements, a new style finale and plenty of places for devastating Hunter pounces whilst L4D2 version will include Left 4 Dead 2 Special Infected, items,weapons and Zoey with a chainsaw. You will have to separately download “The Sacrifice” DLC for L4D1 and L4D2, available as two separate packages on Xbox Live for 560 Microsoft Points each and free to all PC gamers!
