Apple Warns Against Jailbreaking iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Unauthorized Modification of iPhone OS

Warning against Jailbreaking and unauthorized applications, Apple recently published an article which states the adverse effects on the handset after jailbreaking or using vulnerable applications in iPhone or iPad or iPod Touch. Cautioning the users, Apple explained the outcome of unauthorized modifications in the iPhone OS that results in malfunctioning of the device native features along with instability and disruption of application services.

In the article, Apple emphasized on the various problems encountered such as application instability, unreliable and disruptive voice and data services, insecurity, reduced battery life and inability for further software upgradations in a jailbroken device. The main reason many people look for Jailbreaking iPhone is to Unlock iPhone and use it with any SIM.

As per the article of Apple, the details of the malfunctions created due to the unauthorized modifications to the iPhone OS are listed below.

  • Instable in Device and Applications: According to Apple, in the jailbroken devices, built-in apps will unexpectedly crash and freeze and chances of losing crucial data is high.
  • Unreliable and Disruptive voice/ data Services: Data transfer services such as voice calls, Visual Voicemail, YouTube, Weather, and Stocks will have slow, unreliable and disruptive services. Rate of dropped calls will increase.
  • Limited security: Due to the unauthorized modifications, users have to compromise on the security aspects as these modifications might allow hackers to attack the device and steal personal information, damage the device, or even introduce malware or viruses in the handset.
  • Reduced battery life: Unauthorized modification and the hacking software cause an accelerated battery drain thus shortening the battery life of an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  • Inability for further software upgradations: Jailbreaking can even result a permanent inoperable state for the device, as users will not be allowed to access the Apple-supplied iPhone OS updates.

    Apple can go pound sand. Until they give their users the ability to at the very least change their own wallpaper on the iTouch and iPhone, they should stop crying about jailbroken devices.

    Pound it hard and deep Apple. The OS 4 is nothing more than Apple’s attempt to keep people from jailbreaking because OS 4 does NOTHING MORE than anyone with a jailbroken iPhone can do NOW. Multitasking, folders, mail, ibooks, and so on are already on jailbroken iPhones from what I understand.

    From 1984 to 2010, Apple has become the monolithic demoagogue their TV ad warned us about. Peace is War, Love is Hate, Jobs is Clueless.
