The iPhone jailbreak team has earlier notified the Corona untethered jailbreak users that they would be releasing an updated version of Corona to fix the iBooks issues and as promised, the team has released an updated version of Corona 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak to fix the iBooks DRM bug which caused issues with rendering the images. A4 iDevice users who were facing problems with the iBooks DRM issue were able to install the latest version of Corona to fix the issue, but iPad users were facing issues with Corona 1.0-6 as there was some dependency issues and to fix the issue for the iPad users, the Dev-Team has again updated Corona to 1.0-7. After the release of Corona 1.0-7, Saurik tweeted – “Corona 1.0-7: @XusBadia reported that 1.0-6 had a “Depends” that made it refuse to install on an original iPad. 🙁 This has been corrected”.

After the release of Corona 1.0-7, the jailbreak team again found a problem and yet again updated Corona to 1.0-8. In regards to Corona 1.0-8, Saurik has tweeted – “Corona 1.0-8: @sbingner noticed that 1.0-6/7 failed on iPhone 4S 5.0 (the only supported 5.0 build; absinthe’s Corona had worked): fixed. :(“. So if you are looking for an iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak or having issues with the older version of Corona, then go ahead to download and install Corona 1.0-8 from Cydia.
