The iPhone Dev Team has released redsn0w 0.9.6b5 for Mac and Windows that allows you to flash iPad baseband 06.15.00 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G. So if you are stuck on iOS 4.1 or iOS 4.1.2 at baseband 05.14.02 or baseband 05.15.04 then you can use the updated redsn0w to upgrade the baseband to 06.15 and then use ultrasn0w 1.2 to unlock it. Redsn0w 0.9.6b5 fetches the baseband files directly from Apple for now and there may be a long delay while it’s doing this.

So if you are a Windows or Mac user stuck at 05.14.02 BB or 05.15.04 BB, then first download redsn0w to get to iOS 4.2.1. During this process redsn0w updates the baseband to 06.15.00. Once your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G is on 06.15 baseband, you can use ultrasn0w to unlock it.
