If you are MobileMe subscriber, then you will be happy to hear that you can now access MobileMe directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch. Apple has changed the me.com site to give you a different experience when you browse it from your iPhone and iPod Touch. MobileMe from iPhone not only allows you to access Find My iPhone, but also offers help in setting up accounts and getting additional apps.

Accessing me.com from your iPhone or iPod Touch allows you access to the following items:

  • A link to setup instructions for setting up Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Find my iPhone on your iPhone and iPod touch.
  • A link to use Find My iPhone from a friend’s iPhone or iPod touch if you need to locate your lost iPhone or iPod Touch on a map, display a message, play a sound, or remotely lock or wipe it.
  • A link to download the iDisk app on the App Store.
  • A link to download the Gallery app on the App Store.

Accessing the remainder of the MobileMe website (me.com) is not possible via Safari on the iPhone or iPod touch. However, you can access published MobileMe Galleries and iWeb published sites as normal:

  • Gallery: http://gallery.me.com/membername
  • iWeb: http://web.me.com/membername

Even now the adjusting of MobileMe account and renewal settings must be done by accessing me.com on a computer. Allowing the users to access Find My iPhone from an iPhone or iPod touch is a very good thing as that will help you to quickly find lost iPhone using a friends iPhone instead of looking for a Computer.
