iPhone Dev-Team has released RedSn0w 0.9.13dev4 for Windows and Mac that can be used to jailbreak iOS 6 GM on GSM iPhone 4, CDMA iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. RedSn0w 0.9.13dev4 for iOS 6 GM provides a tethered jailbreak only and is mainly intended for developers who needs to test their jailbreak apps on iOS 6. So, if you are a normal user and rely on jailbreak or unlock, stay away from the iOS 6 GM.

Jailbreak iOS 6 GM On iPhone With RedSn0w 0.9.13dev4

  • Step 1 : Download RedSn0w 0.9.13dev4 for Windows or Mac.
  • Step 2 : Extract the contents of redsn0w_win_0.9.13dev4.zip to your Desktop any other folder.
  • Step 3 : Launch RedSn0w and click ‘Extras’ button followed by ‘Select IPSW’.
  • Step 4 : Choose iOS 6 GM IPSW file and click the Back button.
  • Step 5 : Click the ‘Jailbreak’ button to start iOS 6 GM jailbreak.
  • Step 6 : RedSn0w will now show you a new screen and you have to choose ‘Install SHSH’ from the available options and click Next.
  • Step 7 : Now you need to put your iPhone in DFU mode. Also make sure that your iPhone is both off and plugged in to the computer.
    • Hold down Power (corner) button for 5 seconds.
    • Without releasing the Power button, also hold down the Home (bottom center) button for 10 seconds.
    • Without releasing the home button, release the Power button. But keep holding the Home button for 15 seconds.
  • Step 8 : RedSn0w 0.9.13dev4 will tethered jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 6 GM. After the jailbreak is completed, your iPhone will be rebooted into jailbroken state.
