    Hi,
my problem is that my iphone is now in reboot-loop…. I already restored my iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) to my CFW 3.1.3 (05.11.07 Baseband). Is there a 100% working way to install blacksn0w for 05.11.07 BB on 3.1.3 CFW????

    • Fred says:

Same Problem with Me 05.11.07 Baseband, restored 3.1.3 cooked with sn0wbreeeze. No service even with ATT, when I install blacksn0w in cydia, it freezes at the of the installation ( still inside cydia ) then i have to force a restart, then it comes back on the snow logo and it wont boot until I restore with itunes again. its driving me nuts! what to do???

  2. Nicolas says:

  4. FilemonCZ says:

    3GS FW 3.1.3 BB 05.11.07

  5. Justin says:

This is occuring because blacksn0w isn’t updated for the new CommCenter for OS 3.1.3 yet.

  6. mike c says:

same problem here, it froze during blacksn0w installation, and now my phone is in a reboot loop, and i cannot get it into dfu mode, my pc nor itunes detects either so i think im screwed, i tried my macbook pro, same thing, phone doesnt get detected, i even let the battery die and tried again, same thing,,, any ideas? or do i trash this phone and go with an nexusone

  7. Alex says:

    I have the same problem…

The phone can be restored with itunes.
First, download 3.1.3 firmware from apple, then create 3.1.3 cfw IPSW with snowbreeze.
press shift + click restore in itunes, select the cfw.

This will jailbreak the firmware and preserve the baseband only.

There is currently no working unlock for 3.1.3.

Apple released this fimrware in the hope that hackers would reveal their exploits, so they could be patche dup before the 4.00 release.

    Sneaky eh? 🙂

  11. Hung Le says:

    iPhone 3GS, FW 3.1.3, BB 05.11.07

yes it works……you can shift restore to 3.1.2 but there is a trick to this….
you have to: WINDOWS, SYSTEM 32, DRIVERS, ETC, HOSTS and open it with notepad and paste the following at the end: 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
after that go to: Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes and find this 2 folders: “Device Support” and “iPhone Software Updates”
you have to leave this to folders empty so take everithing that you find in there and move it to your desktop or….whatever
do not delete the files just empty them.
now you have to find a custom 3.1.2 and is easy to find it just google it.
after you save it just open iTunes(i have the latest one and it worked)and put your iPhone in RESTORE not in DFU and just hit shift restore…with the custom 3.1.2 and after that blackra1n and you are all set.

    100% worked for me…. I was 3GS custom 3.1.3 bb 05.11.07 now I am custom 3.1.2 bb 05.11.07 JB & unlocked

  13. Giorgio says:

you don’t need shsh for this method …. I didn’t have my shsh saved in cydia and it worked for me and a lot more people.

this was tested only for 3GS CUSTOM FW 3.1.3 BB 05.11.07
It’s not working for official 3.1.3 or the new BB

  14. Youngstud2476 says:

ok so you can downgrade? where did you get your cfw????

    • Giorgio says:

      You can find it…easy….Googgle…

      • axenory says:

Dude.. you can’t just say google it.. Don’t trust this guy.. If someone doesn’t give easy follow instructions and it looks obscure and not clear don’t loose your time trying. This guy is just playing with you guys.. that is like the more useless answer I’ve seen :

        lol

      • Giorgio says:

No offense “axenory” what do you mean by “easy follow instructions” I think I made it very clear and easy….and I only said “Google it” for the custom 3.1.2 ipsw because it’s the easiest way to find it, just try to write that in google search bar and see how many download links you will get…so please choose your words more careful next time when you just assume that I wanna play with my time just cause you think so….I went to a lot of trouble before I fixed my iPhone so I thought I can help someone….and YES this method WORKS just fine. For all the others that are encountering errors may be the iTunes version or windows version but I worked on vista end it worked for 3 iPhones…

  15. Ajax says:

I wanna do what you did Giorgia but when i get in the “Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes” i have “Iphone software updates” (empty) and no “device support”.

Tell me where i can find them?
Im on vista 64bit, latest itunes

  16. Andrae says:

Can you be a little more specific as far as locating Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes and find this 2 folders: “Device Support” and “iPhone Software Updates”

    ALSO

Do you save the 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
to the host file that was opened up in notepad

  17. joe says:

    giorgio methods works~

you find the Roaming folders under c:\user\appdata

  18. crashie says:

I also cannot find Device Support and iPhone Software Updates in my Roaming profile folder\apple computer on windows7 64bit
    No iPhone software updates either.

Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes folder (version 9.0.3) only contains these:

    iPhone Updater Logs
    iTunes Plug-ins
    iTunesPrefs.xml

  19. dave says:

getting error 1600 during itunes restore (shift-restore to load from file)using a custom ipsw file on a 3gs. Any one have any advice? If I setup the hosts file, does that redirect the restore to Cydia? I really do not want to risk updating the baseband.

    • Fernando says:

Hi i had the same exact problem, this is what i did, and have done many times now, nothing works after error 1600, so I pluged the iphone 3GS using itunes, and told itunes to restore my iphone with factory 3.1.3, after that i waited till the apple apears on the phone and the little line under the apple, AT THIS MOMENT UNPLUG THE PHONE, it will restart by itself and get in DFU so you can use any firmware you want, itunes will give you error 9, but after that will recognize the iphone and let you install any firmware…

  20. remo says:

hey guys y cant release the proper unlock for 3gs 3.1.3 custom firmwire using snow brreze…itz jailbreaking ,but ultrasnow .blacksnow not working …itz old boot room only..watz the soltion guys …???//

  21. georgeg says:

    Try installing blacksn0w RC2 from http://cydia.pushfix.info

  22. sunhill says:

    i tried the rc2 blacksn0w – on my 3.1.3 fw / bb 5.11.07 iphone 3g

it does def work i can confirm, however as soon as i reboot the phone, it comes back to step one, so i have to reinstall it to get back online.

so its kind of a temp solution for me.
