We have already written that greenpois0n will be available for download on Oct 10. Moreover do download greenposi0n from the official site or authority sites and don’t download greenpois0n fake version that are floating around! Though many users are happy with the greenpois0n release there are some people who have to wait for other tools to jailbreak their iDevices as the upcoming greenpois0n can only Jailbreak iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch 4G and Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.1 and iPad on 3.2.2.

The other to note here about greesnpois0n is that it uses the SHAtter jailbreak which is tethered. This means that you have to connect your iPhone to the computer every time you reboot it. But luckily comex has comeup with a solution which makes the greenpois0n jailbreak untethered. So if you jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 4.1 with greenspois0n, you don’t need to connect it to your computer when you need to reboot.

Tweets from Chronic Dev-Team and MuscleNerd confirming that greenpois0n is untethered

Again, major thanks to @comex for getting greenpois0n untethered.

Those reading between the lines: Yes SHAtter itself is tethered. @comex came up with a way to untether it on 4.1/3.2.2

SHAtter is yet another breed of exploit. Bootrom-based but requires userland “assistance” for untethered boots (@comex did this for 4.1)
