First it was the guys using Linux. Then it was the turn of people using Windows. At last, the latest one’s to receive AutoCAD with a free 3 year license are none other than students using their MAC. All this thanks to AutoDesk, the company that’s now famed for creating AutoCAD, the software almost every engineering student needs to use for his or her CAD classes.

Till now any student owning a MAC at home could use AutoCAD only in college or elsewhere where they had Windows or Linux, but now the same student has the benefit and the advantage of using it on a MAC as well.

The few things to remember are:

  • Just a 3 year license is allowed for MAC user students whereas the full version is available for professionals.
  • The images would all be water marked.
  • In case you wanted to download it, you’d need to furnish your school e-mail ID.

The last one though should not make much of a difference for those who are learning the ropes. The good thing though is the software is available across the globe.
