ARM Cortex v7 Processor Required on Android Devices to Run Adobe Flash 10.1

As we are aware that not all Android devices can run Adobe Flash 10.1 due to the lack of hardware and software requirements. In order to run the Flash 10.1 flawlessly, the Android powered devices need to feature ARM v7 (cortex) processors such as Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and TI OMAP3 series.

Many of the popular Android devices with ARM v6 processor such as Sprint Hero, Sprint Moment, T-Mobile G1, T-Mobile myTouch 3G, T-Mobile CLIQ, T-Mobile Behold II, Verizon Droid Eris and the latest Verizon Devour in the US market do not support Flash 10.1. The only devices with Flash 10.1 support in the market are the Motorola Droid and HTC Nexus One.

Even though the Adobe Flash requires less hardware and software, we might not see them on the G1’s and HTC Hero due to the technical limitations of the devices, which is a bit disappointing.
