Recently there have been many applications popping up in the market that enable speedy typing in Android smartphones. Few days back we have seen an application called Swype beta for this purpose, and today we have another fantabulous application called SwiftKey. SwiftKey Beta application is text entry Input Method Editor (IME) powered by TouchType’s Fluency Prediction Engine that enables users to type in a highly effective manner.

Compatible to run on any version of Android ranging from 1.5 up to 2.2 (Froyo), SwiftyKey Beta application is nearly 900 KB and would require space around 3MB for language modules and less than 1mb for dynamic learning module. SwiftyKey Beta can be downloaded from Android Market, and upon enabling the application, users will be prompted with an warning message which states about the collection of the history text typed by the users in the handset and once this message is confirmed, the interface will prompt users to confirm this as the default input method. Once the installation and confirmation process is completed, users can experience speedy and effective messaging capabilities in their handsets.

Available in many languages with the additional language module selection, SwiftyKey Beta is already tested on various Android handsets such as HTC Desire, Dream, Droid, Legend, Nexus One and many more. Moreover, if you want to try it by yourself go to the Android Market and search for “SwiftKey”.
