Nokia 500 Features Symbian Anna OS Running on a 1GHz Processor

Nokia had officially announced the – Nokia 500 featuring Symbian Anna OS running on a 1GHz processor, changeable back covers. So if you are looking for a low-cost touch-screen smartphone then you should look out for the Nokia 500. The other features of Nokia 500 includes a 3.2-inch capacitive touch display with a 640 x 360 pixels screen resolution, 5MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi b/g.

The Nokia 500 runs on the latest Symbian Anna OS, offering a refreshed UI, a better browser and split-screen messaging. There’s 2GB of storage memory, plus the possibility of increasing this by a further 32GB using the micro-SD card slot. Like all our recent smartphones, it offers pentaband radio coverage so world travellers need never be out of touch, 3G data up to HSUPA speeds. The phone measures 111.3 x 53.8 x 14.1mm and weighs in at 93g – lighter than any other Symbian^3 phone to date. Nokia 500 gives you a 5-7 hours talk time, 450+ hours in standby mode or up to 35 hours of music playback.

The Nokia 500 will be available in black and white varieties, black first and then white before the end of the year. And you will also find three different-colored back covers in the box. More colours for these will become available soon – including purple, azure blue, pink, coral red, orange and dark silver. Nokia 500 will be available at a price tag of €150 (Rs. 10,000/-) before taxes and subsidies, and will be available from the third quarter of this year.
