Samsung i8520 ‘Halo’ Features Android 2.1, 8MP Camera and Pico Projector

Samsung, the world’s most popular consumer electronics brand is now set to add another amazing phone to its cart called the “Wave S8500” and according to the reports, it might soon announce another spectacular phone following the success path of Wave. This unannounced phone, the “i8520” will probably be revealed as “Samsung Halo” very soon.

Samsung i8520 Halo is a quad-band GSM / EDGE phone with tri-band UMTS 900 / 1900 / 2100 running on Android 2.1 OS that will include absolutely impressive features such as 3.7-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display and 8 mega pixel auto focus camera with flash. It also has DLNA support along with integrated DLP pico projector, 720p / 30fps video encoding / decoding with DivX and Xvid playback support, Bluetooth 2.1 and 16GB of internal storage with microSD expansion (Wow!). i8520 Halo will feature two sensors namely “S5K4E2” and “S5K5CA”, each measuring around 1/4 of an inch and 1/5th of an inch respectively. “S5K4E2” is a 5.0-mega pixel sensor that provides extended depth of field to make sharp photos at 14fps in full resolution making use of noise removal technologies for more clear pictures/Videos. “S5K5CA” is a 3.0-mega pixel, which enables users to shoot videos in 720p and provides them with a JPEG rotation feature that allows users to rotate images without any lag.
