Same error…3GS 3.1.2 baseband 05.11.07. does this only work on the older modem Firmware???

  3. Shawn says:

Frnds u will not be able to unlock ur iphone with baseband 05.11.07 coz ultrasn0w wont work with this baseband….u have to wait for next release of dev team…. unless if ur r lucky and u r having modem firware 05.80 or lower then u can downgrade ur baseband using fuzzyband safely…….else u have to wait for next release of dev team…..hope this helps u…..

  4. Deacon says:

This method only works if you’re iPhone previously used a custom firmware that didn’t upgrade the baseband. Ultrasn0w will NOT work with BB 05.11.07.

The only way to downgrade your baseband is if your iPhone has a bootloader of 5.9 or below. This version of the bootloader can only be found in the iPhone 3G models that were purchased on release date. The iPhone 3GS does NOT have this bootloader.

To downgrade your baseband, follow the instructions in this blog, then download Fuzzyband from Cydia. It’s a simple app and it takes a few minutes to work.

I have a similar problem to Wasim’s. I jailbroke my iPhone using blackrain, and network and wifi work perfectly fine. GPS on the other hand is completely gone. Anyone knows what to do?

  11. Alvin Oh says:

Hi people, i did the same thing with blackrain and i was not able to connect to my network carrier as the firmware is 05.11.07. So to get your phone network working back, just go into cydia and remove the the ultrasnow source package. That would get back your phone network hence we will have to wait for the new update package. Hopefully, if anyone know when that would be releasing, it would be great. Thanks people.

Hi I have an iPhone 3G (3.1.2) with modem fw: 5.11.07 and have the same problem of No GSM network, and message popping up in Settings->Carrier saying β€˜Unable to load network list’…

Uninstalling UltraSn0w will fix the problem somewhat that you get your old LOCKED network back so you can make phone calls.

Apparently there is a way to unlock the iphone in a legit way!
Your mobile operator will do it for you for a small fee (15 quids in the UK).
I haven’t tried it, but its worth asking about it!
    Cheers!
