As with any new product a number of bugs were noticed in this product and users sent in reports and suggestions which seem to have been acted upon by the company. The company has announced an update and most of the bugs seem to have been fixed in this release of the first firmware update carrying built # 1.0.1.16319. The Boxee does check for updates automatically but one can also carry out update manually.

The Boxee Box offered a “soup to nuts” solution for web delivered content from NetFlix, Youtube, CBS and ABS as well as streams from NAS devices, USB drives. The Boxee promised to become the center for media playback.
