BenQ’s Next-Gen E-Book Reader nReader K61 Comes With Wi-fi and 3G Capability, 6-Inch Touchscreen

BenQ unveiled its second-generation e-reader last Friday, the nReader K61. Presently available only in Taiwan for a suggested retail price is NT$ 9,990 (US$319), the 299g device enables users to download e-books using Wi-fi or 3G networks. The company is understood to have tied up with content providers in country to provide popular newspapers and magazines on the K61. As an introductory offer, the company is also reported to have announced a free 1-month subscription to any one of its selection of three local newspapers, including a business daily.

There is no information yet on whether the company will market this product outside Taiwan.
