Canon Introduces XF105 and XF100 Camcorders Featuring Built-In 3D and Infrared Shooting

Canon introduced two new Pro-level camcorders – Canon XF105 and Canon XF100 for everyone’s delight. You can rejoice making wonderful videos with these camcorders that are embedded with amazing features. Canon’s XF105 and XF100 are the smallest camcorders that implements innovative technology and offers professional level video capture quality.

Canon’s smallest pro camcorders, XF105 and XF100 utilize the XF codec implemented in the XF305 and XF300, which is a MPEG-2 4:2:2 50Mbps, usually used in high-end units. The in-camera features of these camcorder enable you to capture of high-definition 3-D videos at an ease even in complete darkness. You can rejoice 10x HD zoom features of these camcorders. Weighing less than 3lbs, XF100 and XF105 also feature native Full HD 1920×1080 CMOS image sensor.

XF100 and XF105 have capabilities to record to Compact Flash (CF) cards along with hot-swappable card slots. Canon XF105 will feature a HD-SDI output and genlock in/SMPTE time code (in/out) terminals, which XF100 does not have. Expected to ship in early 2011, price of these camcorders is not yet revealed.
