Cisco’s Flip Video, a brand of shoot-and-share video cameras (previously owned by Pure Digital), has rolled out a new line of UltraHD and MinoHD video cameras with HD video capability, hardware-based image stabilisation feature, product personalisation options and video-sharing capability using pre-loaded FlipShare software.

Alongside this, Cisco also announced Designed for Flip, a new program offering accessories from a range of partners. The accessories include wide angle lenses and external microphones, battery chargers and a portable projector. In addition, Flip now combines its always-on image stabilisation technology with 720p resolution at 60 frames per second (fps) for clearer and steadier videos. You can also use standardised HDMI cables to connect the device with your TV.

The company has also informed that the entire Flip Video family is now available in personalised designs “at no additional cost”. Consumers can visit the Flip Online Store ( to choose from designs of artists, celebrities and brands. Alternatively, they can also “upload an image to create their own one-of-a-kind Flip video camera”, the company added. The new Flip Video line is available in the US starting at $149.99.
