Fujitsu recently announced its LifeBook T580 (“Slate-beater” as of now), the convertible tablet PC. Fujitsu LifeBook T850 is a trendy looking tablet that can be rotated to either a filp mode or a slate mode. T580 encompasses 10.1″resistive touchscreen, smallest of all the Fujitsu tablets until now along with many other features.

Incorporating dual-digitizer, Fujitsu T580 can recognize four points of contact (i.e, Four-Finger multitouch functionality) at an ease, which indicates the utilization of N-Trig digitizer that is capable of recognizing four points simultaneously. Offering integrated 3G connectivity and GPS, Fujitsu T580 is certainly a Slate beating product. T580 though listed in the Fujitsu’s website, will not be available until November. Will Fujitsu’s Slate Beater T580 be successful in encaptivating consumers of Slate and shift the complete industry towards Convertibles is something we have to wait and see!
