Nintendo 3DS to Feature Dual 266MHz ARM 11 Processors, Wi-Fi Capability and Host of Game Titles

Nintendo 3DS will be launched in Japan on February 26, while US and UK release is slated for sometime in March 2011. The North American launch is also expected around the same time. But there are reports saying it could get pushed further by another month. The 3DS will cost ¥25,000 (approximately $300) in Japan, a price tag that has upset many Nintendo fans. There are no words on US and Europe prices though.

The handheld will be shipped in two colors ‘Aqua Blue’ and ‘Cosmos Black’ and will be bundled with a charger, AC adapter, 2GB SD memory card, 3DS stylus, and instruction manual. Nintendo is also bringing augmented reality games to 3DS with six specially-created cards. Here’s a glance at some of the other features:

Some of the most notable games expected to release for Nintendo 3DS include Samurai Warrior Chronicles, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Paper Mario, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and Resident Evil: Revelations.
