Multitasking on Jailbroken iPod Touch 2G on iOS 4.0 [Video]

Written By Sam on 10 June 2010

In the recent WWDC 2010 event, Apple announced about the iOS 4.0 along with the iPhone 4. One of the notable features of iOS 4 is the support for Multitasking. But sadly Multitasking is only available for the newer devices like iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G. Apple said that Multitasking in iOS 4.0 is not supported on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G, but iPod Touch 2G is jailbroken and tweaked to support Multitasking.

iH8snow is successful in jailbreaking iPod touch on iOS 4.0 and enable multitasking. After jailbreaking iPod Touch 2G/3G, you can easily unlock the multitasking feature. Though iH8snow is successful in jailbreaking iPhone OS 4.0 and enabling multitasking on the iPod touch 2G, he hasn’t published any instructions or released any tool that will help people in doing it easily.

iH8sn0w has relased a teaser video which shows native iPod touch 2G multitasking on iOS 4.0. Do wait until 21st June when iOS 4.0 will be released to hear more about iOS 4.0 Jailbreaking and Unlocking.

I see no use of the multitasking on iPod touch 2G, As I never have enough memory to multitask two not-native apps.

  2. HiTm0 says:

Multitasking works fine on iPod Touch 2G. Just don’t open too many apps.
