The app is available to all U-verse TV customers, and the ability to download and watch select content is available for customers that subscribe to the U300 package or higher. U-verse customers can upgrade their TV packages at any time with the Account Manager app on channel 9910 or at AT&T U-verse.

That’s not all. The company also announced the U-verse app for Android devices. The app for Android is already available for Samsung Captivate and HTC Aria. We hear, the Motorola Flipside and Bravo, slated to arrive in the near future, will also come with support for U-verse.

U-verse Mobile lets U-verse TV subscribers browse the U-verse TV program guide, schedule and manage their DVR recordings, and for subscribers with qualifying TV plans, download hit TV shows over any Wi-Fi connection, and watch them on their qualifying smartphone from anywhere.

Though any U-Verse subscriber can download U-Verse Mobile from the Android Market, however, AT&T guarantees it to work only on the list of devices it has named. Users need to have a U-Verse account with AT&T, with a minimum subscription of $82, which pays for the U300 package.
