HTC is arguably the biggest player in the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 event that was held last week and it appears that they also intend on remaining on top of the Windows phones lineup. Maybe we should say we are now in the age of the Windows phone and this innovative Taiwanese company is not just going to sit back, but plans on remaining on top of the WP7 releases. They announced at least 4 WP7 devices during the WP7 launch, and the sweet thing about this is that they will all available in time for the holiday season.

Now let’s look at the 4 HTC phones lineup in details; HTC 7 Surround, HD7, 7 Trophy, and 7 Mozart, with a wholesome head-to head comparison.

No doubt, HTC is coming in smoking guns if the specs revealed above are anything to go by. It is no gainsaying they are a multi-media assortment. First you have the HTC HD7 which may in its own rights be the most interesting device of the bunch. It made an appearance ostentatiously with a 4.3″ WVGA screen and a 1GHz CPU, very reminiscent of the HD2 but of course with Windows phone 7, a different operating system. Other features include a 5-megapixel camera, capable of 720p video recording, an impressive 576 MB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a kickstand on the back and weighs 162 grams.

The other key points to note on the other HTC beauties is that the HTC Mozart comes with the best snapper while the HTC Surround goes as a speaker power horse with a Dolby sound system. The HTC trophy being an entry level Smartphone, the cheapest of the group, although other details are still sketchy at present.

Finally, HTC also plans on releasing a fifth WP7 phone with a hardware QWERTY keyboard by the name of HTC 7 Pro. This is going to come as a CDMA version and would not be available until next year. Hopefully, a GSM variation of this will come later.
