HTC Smartphones Including HTC Desire and Nexus One to Feature SLCD Instead of AMOLED

HTC Corporation, the world’s top smartphone designer is now set to implant a new technology called SLCD (Super LCD Display) onto its Smartphones instead of AMOLED. In order to overcome the short supplies of AMOLED displays and meet the customer needs, HTC planned to switch over to the latest technology SLCD screens which as good as the AMOLED displays.

Super LCD display technology is the latest generation of LCD technology that offers enhanced performance from earlier LCD panels. Providing much enhanced features SLCD technology will provide exceptional natural balanced color, clear contrast, broad viewing angles and improved power efficiency. Including five times better power management, SLCDs not only ramps up production capabilities but also offers enhanced visual experience enabled by in-built Sony’s new VSPEC III technology. Is SLCD the next trend setting technology, will all other manufacturers too implement this technology, is something we have to wait and watch!
