Nexus One is coming to Vodafone Australia. Nexus one is powered by Android 2.1 and grants a great Google experience. This bridges the gap between the web and phone and Nexus one is distinct in every facet. Nexus one has 5 Megapixel camera along with video capture and comes with a premium material finish. Other features include 3.7 inch multi- touch screen which displays 800×480 resolution, 4GB MicroSD memory card which can be extended up to 32GB, HSPA, WiFi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.1, A- GPS connectivity and now you can search the web using Google Search by Voice.

Nexus one is available for users from July 01, 2010, the VHA’s Consumer PR Manager Tess Mion says that they have only limited stocks and online customer order will be taken on first come, first served basis. The most important information to users is that you will not get Nexus one in any Vodafone stores, hence it is advised to go for online orders.

The phone is locked to Vodafone and does not have 900MHz 3G capability, and also users are limited to Vodafone’s primary 2100 MHz network which makes this as a Smartphone. You get Nexus one at $79 for a month along with free calls to Vodafone and 3 customers, unlimited text, $800 of calls (at 90c per minute with a 35s flagfall), 1GB of data on a 24 month contract.
