Nokia C6-01 Mobile Phone Details, Specifications, Features, Pricing and Availability

Nokia added another ‘pocket-friendly’ (it’s compact) number C6-01 to its Cseries line-up. Like its big Cseries brother C7, the latest Nokia C6 sports an 8-megapixel camera and a 3.2-inch AMOLED (640 x 360 resolution) capacitive touchscreen. The phone is being touted as a ‘social networker’s dream’ with live feeds from your favorite social networks available on the home screen. The C6-01 supports microSD up to 32GB and can capture HD video in 720p.

Lookwise, users are likely to find similarity between C6-01 and the N-series high-end devices. The phone weighs 131 gm and comes with three customisable home screens with the option to add widgets, theme, shortcuts and icons. The display comes with orientation and proximity sensors and an ambient light detector for improved visibility; and has all the other basic features that most smartphones come with. Of the more note-worthy, however, are its multimedia and connectivity features.

Nokia C6-01 Multimedia Features

The 8MP camera (3264 x 2448) is capable of 2x digital zoom, dual LED flash, face recognition, automatic location tagging (geotagging) of images and videos, and economic sharing to optimise battery and memory use, among others. The phone supports JPEG and Exif formats and comes with 340 MB internal memory, expandable to up to 32 GB with microSD card. The video property allows access to internet videos, compatible with RSS feeds, and video podcasts, with direct wireless updates and downloads. The video playing capacity includes MPEG4, H.263, H.264, RealVideo 10, Flash Video. It is also capable of playing on-demand Webtv widgets and has video call support (WCDMA network services). Of the notable music and audio are Nokia Music Player and mono IHF speaker, Ovi Music, 3.5 mm stereo headphone plug, support for WM DRM, OMA DRM 2.0. Gamers can use the touch UI to play pre-loaded games. They can also download titles from the Ovi store.

Nokia C6-01 Connectivity Features

The phone is capable of serving as data modem and can support MS Outlook synchronization of contacts, calendar and notes.The internet connectivity depends on the EDGE, HSDPA and GSM Quad-band. The phone is also equipped with Bluetooth v.3.0 and WLAN IEEE802.11 b/g/n for Wi-fi connectivity. The model also comes with 3G connectivity options and GPS navigation system.

Users can expect to see up to 17 days standby time and up to 11.5 hours talktime from the C7 battery. The phone is set to launch in the fourth quarter of the year. The C6-01 will be available in silver and black and is estimated to cost around €260.
