Computational Knowledge Search Engine Wolfram|Alpha App Available For Android Phones at $1.99

Wolfram|Alpha, the computational knowledge search engine, has just been launched for the Android platform. To run on Android version 1.6 or higher, the all new app can be downloaded on the T-Mobile Channel or Android Market for $1.99. The app features voice input capability. So, you can speak out your queries to Wolfram|Alpha and get answers hands-free. The app has been optimized for the latest Android devices, like T-Mobile’s G2 Android smartphone.

The app puts the search engine’s repository of curated data, including data elements, and its library of sophisticated computational models in the palm of your hand. It comes with a keyboard, so you can now solve your quadratic or chemical equations at any location. If you are a casual star gazer, you will probably like the app’s  ‘sky chart’ that can provide fast facts about an object in the sky. You can also use the app to monitor your daily nutrition intake while on the go.

The app is compatible with Android 1.6 and later; and leverages advanced screen capabilities of Android 2.2 (Froyo).
