Safari for Apple iPad

Using Safari on iPad, you can easily browse and navigate between pages quickly and efficiently. The multi-touch wide screen with In Plane Switching(IPS) technology enables you to view the contents at a readable size at both the display modes that is portrait as well as the landscape mode. Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating on the display screen makes web browsing a simple process and allows you to scroll through a page just by flicking your finger up or down on the screen.

Apple iPad enables you to touch and read your mails in an innovative way that you haven’t seen before. Whilst in the landscape mode, it lets you to split the screen view into two, each containing the opened email and the messages in your Inbox respectively. In order to just view the opened email you can turn iPad to portrait mode which automatically rotates the emails and fills in the screen. Irrespective of the screen orientation you can scroll through your mail, compose a new email, utilize onscreen keyboard, delete mails, forward photographs, documents,etc. The best part is iPad will support all the popular email providers, including MobileMe, Yahoo! iPad features vibrant display with unique software features that enables users to enjoy and share high quality photographs and videos.There are lots of ways to import photos and various ways to watch any kind of videos including HD movies, TV shows, podcasts and music videos using the Apple’s iPad. You can directly sync them from your computer, download them from an email, or import them directly from your camera using the optional Apple Camera Connection Kit. You can also upload and organize videos on YouTube.

iPod and iTunes for iPad

iPad features an iPod application that brings music at your fingertips. And with the iTunes store icon available on the iPad you can browse and buy any music, TV shows, and podcasts from thousands of movies and TV shows available along with millions of songs. There are also many other apps coming up with the release of iPhone 3.2 SDK for iPad.

App Store and iBooks for Apple iPad

Similar to the popular iPhone, iPad also includes App Store which runs almost 140,000 apps everything from games to business apps from which the users can acquire applications of their choice. The iBooks app is a great new way to read and buy books which can be downloaded for free from the App Store. Once you buy a book from iBooks, it will be displayed on your Bookshelf and just a tap on it enables you to read it.

Along with the above mentioned applications, iPad also features Maps, Notes, Calender, Contacts, Home Screen and Spotlight Search along with many other embedded features available few taps away which makes Apple iPad even more effective device of the gen-next.

    One question that I have not been able to find an answer to,is wether the mail application on the iPad supports import of mail. As I travel a good bit and need my references to older mail, This would be an important question to me, and probably many others, who may be considering purchasing an iPad.
