Quake Live (Quakelive.com) Adds Support for Linux and MAC

Here is exciting news for Linux and Mac Users who are waiting to join the arcade at Quakelive.com. At QuakeLive.com you can connect and compete with other players from around the world. A number of improvements and fixes have been made in the update. Leaderboards will be returning, but most of the noteworthy changes is browser-based FPS with which all the three major platforms will be finally supported. On your Mac or Linux you can use Firefox to play the game.


Some of the highlights include

Wolfenstein: On august 18th, it would launch trailer premiere of next installment in id software’s legendary franchise which hits the retail shelves nationwide. First-time hands on experience is offered in Intel, Alienware and AMD/ATI booths.

Bethesda Softworks: First public game play demo of BRINK will be announced, an immense shooter which blends single-player, co-op, and multi-player gameplay which develops your character across all modes of play. Hands on play of WET, which is highly-stylized third person shooter that blends gun play, sword kills and over-the-top acrobatics.


id Mobile: Launches Wolfenstein RPG for the iPhone for $4.00 in partnership with EA mobile. Provided update on the next game in their classic series-DOOM Classic. DOOM Resurrection 1.1 update will be featuring all new challenge game mode and one new level designed to test the limit of gamers skills.
