Micromax Q5C CDMA Mobile Comes Pre-Loaded With Facebook, Opera Mini Browser and Nimbuzz Multi Messenger

Micromax launched its Q5C bar-form CDMA handset in the Indian market with a price tag of around Rs. 4,500. Available through CDMA service operators Reliance, MTS and Tata Indicom, the Q5C comes with a a full QWERTY keypad, is Facebook ready, comes pre-loaded with multi-messenger Nimbuzz (that enables chatting, calling and messaging with contacts from multiple sources), and Opera Mini browser. In fact, Facebook enthusiasts will find the phone’s dedicated Facebook hardkey a plus. Did we mention its 2 megapixel (1600 x 1200 pixels) camera? Well, with so many entry level phones doing much better with their snappers, Q5C’s is not one Micromax can boast about. And don’t expect the LED flash to impress you either.

Lookwise, the phone is overtly similar to the Blackberry 8900 Curve but Q5C’s glossy black plastic body with chrome accent is a far cry from the swanky original. But then the phone is affordable; comes with a battery strength of 5 hours talk time and 10 days standby time; and includes a four-way joypad along with the menu buttons.

The phone includes most of the features that models of this price-rung usually come with, including a video player and recorder with support for MP4, 3GP and 3G2 formats, stereo FM radio, multi-format music player, expandable memory up to 4Gb with microSD support, 1000 phonebook and 1000 SMS memory and so on. Connectivity features include support for Brew 3.1.5, Bluetooth(A2DP), Java, WAP, MMS and games. It also comes with offline operabilty and inbuilt GPS. It also comes bundled with accessories including a charger, a handsfree tool and data cable. With QWERTY keyboards scoring on the popularity charts of phone buyers, this one is likely to get buyers curious.
