Samsung Launches 3 Dual-SIM Phones – Star Duos GT-B7722, Guru Dual 25 (GT-E1225) and Guru Dual 26 (GT-E1252)

The Dual-SIM market in India is heating up with leading mobile brands as well home-grown companies throwing in a variety of choices at the consumer. And just ahead of the festive season Samsung has extended its Dual–SIM offering by launching the Samsung Star Duos GT-B7722, a 3G and 2G touch phone, the Guru Dual 25 (GT-E1225) and the Guru Dual 26 (GT-E1252).

Priced at Rs. 12,300, Samsung Star Duos is claimed to be the industry’s first 3G + 2G Dual-standby touchscreen phone with dedicated widgets to manage switching between 2 SIM cards.

The Samsung Guru Dual 25 and Samsung Guru Dual 26 are entry level dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) phones intended to take on local mobile players including Micromax, and Karbonn. Both these phones come with features such as stereo FM, Torch, support for 9 regional languages in addition to phonebook and SMS memory to store up to 1000 contacts and messages. The handsets comes loaded with games, mobile prayer, Indian calendar, 40 poly ringtones, SOS message and Bike mode features. The Dual–SIM Shift feature of Guru Dual 25, priced at Rs. 2,020, accommodates 2 SIM’s on the phone. However, only one SIM is active at a time.
