Open Docx & Doc Files in Windows 7 With Word Reader

Written By Sam on 27 May 2009

Recently I installed Windows 7 RC in my laptop. But I haven’t got a chance to install Microsoft Office. As I have got many docx files, I was looking for a freeware to open docx files in Windows 7 and found Word reader. Word reader is a universal reader which can open most of the document related file formats.

Word reader is a easy to use tool and is absolutely free. Word reader helps you in reading Microsoft Word 2007 (*.DOCX), Microsoft Word 97-2003(*.DOC), Hyper Text Markup Language (*.Htm and *.Html), Plain Text Format (*.TXT) and Rich Text Format (*.RTF) files. Word reader is a mutilingual application which includes languages like English, Chinese, German, French, Italian and Japanese. I observed that Word Reader can open the documents very quickly and the quality of the output is good. Along with Windows 7, Word reader is designed to work with Microsoft Windows 98, ME, NT4, 2000, 2003, XP and Vista. So if you are having problems opening office documents in Windows 7 why not give it a try.
