There is no mistaking HP’s current emphasis on e-printing. We have been reading about the company’s Android-based Photosmart eStation C510 printer. Yes, the excitement over the news is still fresh. Meanwhile, closer home in the Indian market, the company has gone ahead and launched its Photosmart and Officejet e-All-in-Ones (eAIO) line-ups of web-connected cloud print-enabled home and business printers. Starting at Rs. 7,570, the eAIO Web-enabled products come with the company’s TouchSmart interface and personalized applications.

In a bid to simplify the print experience, the newly-introduced printers all come with the capability of e-mail and mobile printing. With HP ePrint, a user can “print anytime, from anywhere”, by sending documents and photos from his/her computer or mobile device to an e-mail address assigned to his/her e-All-in-One printer. No special software or drivers are required. To use these features, however, the printer must be connected to the internet on a wireless network.

Users may also check out various apps ranging from printing and productivity to general infotainment at the HP ePrint Center. The printers are cloud-enabled and can support apps like Web Sudoku, Quick Forms, Snapfish, Google Calendar & Maps, Crayola, Arrival Guides and Picasa.

The printers launched in the Indian market include HP Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One B110e (Priced at Rs. 7,570, it features a wireless TouchSmart display/tablet as the interface) and HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One C410 (Priced at Rs. 22,999, it features a TouchSmart colur display, fax, and full duplex printing capability). The company also launched two enterprise grade printers OfficeJet 7500A Wide-Format e-All-in-One & Pro 8500A e-All-in-One; and HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One Series both priced at around Rs. 23,000.
