How To Add Rich Text Signatures, HTML Signatures and Image Signatures in Gmail

Written By Sam on 9 July 2010

Until now Gmail was only supporting text based signatures unlike Outlook or other email providers who support Rich text and Image signatures. But now Google has rolled out a new feature which allows you to add Rich Text/HTML/Image Signatures in Gmail. To use rich text Gmail signatures you need to go to the settings sections in Gmail and scroll down to see the signature option which allows you to customize your Gmail signature. With the new rich text Gmail signature you can add formatting, links and images to your Gmail signature.

But sadly only the latest desktop version of Gmail supports rich text signatures and multiple signatures. If you are still using the older version or the HTML version of Gmail or the mobile version then you have to be still happy with the plain text version of Gmail signature.

Gmail rich text editor in signature section allows you to change colors or font size of your signature, insert images or links. Moreover Gmail also supports unique signature for each email address associated with your account.

  1. This is really nice feature added by Gmail team
Earlier I used to use Wisestamp which is a great addon for the same. Though I believe using diferent signature for multiple account is going to be super handy for many.
Have you used Wisestamp? Which one you would suggest/ WiseStamp or this official Gmail signature?
