Earlier we have seen different OS’s ported to a variety of Gadgets and Mobiles and now it’s time for Android to get ported on to an iPhone. Yes you heard it right! Planetbeing has announced that he has is successful in running Android OS on the iPhone. There is also a video preview, which shows an iPhone 2G running the Android OS. The iPhone 2G has got a Dual-Boot with both Android OS and iPhone OS.

Planetbeing tweeted – “Finally breaking radio silence to bring you Android on the iPhone. :)” and mentioned on his blog that he has been working on this quietly in the background. In the video below Android is demonstrated on an iPhone 2G; however, it should be pretty simple to port forward to the iPhone 3G. The 3GS will take more work. Planetbeing thanks CPICH for reversing support, harmn1, posixnina, jean, marcan and saurik for patches, and last but not least, TheSeven for his work on the FTL.

The above video shows a first generation Apple iPhone running the Linux kernel and Google’s Android mobile operating system. You can download the pre-built images and sources from the below link and have a Dual-Boot option with Android OS and iPhone OS on y0ur iPhone 2G.
