Samsung’s Android phone the Galaxy S was a hit with the Android users with a combination of amazing specs and a striking display in its favor. And Samsung has already begun work on its next device, reportedly called “Galaxy Q”.

There were many speculations that Galaxy Q was an upgrade to the Galaxy S. But, the leaked reports of specs suggest otherwise. The Galaxy Q is believed to be, relatively, a smaller version of the Galaxy S with a QWERTY keyboard and powered by 1GHz Hummingbird processor, same as that for Galaxy S. It is expected to have an internal memory of 16GB. Most features are expected to be similar to that of the Galaxy S.

However, there are a few feature additions. Some good and some not so good. The prominent one is that of the camera that was an issue with Galaxy S. The Galaxy Q is expected to have an 8 megapixel camera and LED flash. Moreover, the front camera would be upgraded from a VGA one to a 1.3 megapixel one. The not so good include the size of the display and the resolution. It has been reduced to 3” with a 720*480 S-AMOLED screen display from as against the 4” with a 800*480 pixel display of the Galaxy S.
