Apple Seeds iOS 4.2.1 Gold Master Build to Developers; Fixes Wi-Fi and VoIP Bugs

Apple has seeded the Gold Master Build now numbered as iOS 4.2.1 to the developer. The newly-released golden master iOS 4.2.1 from Apple does not claim to be a major overhaul of previous updates and only minor bugfixes related to Exchange, Wi-Fi, VoIP and audio seem to have been carried out, along with making this iOS usable across iPad, iPhone and iPod. This golden master release carries build number 8C148. Members who are registered with Apple can sign into the iOS Dev Center and download this golden master update.

The iOS 4.2 update for iPad was expected this month. And with the company keenly trying to iron out glitches, we hope it will be able to keep its promise and release an official update soon sans bugs.

To recap, iOS4 provides a platform to third party developers along with a comprehensive set of tools and APIs to enable creative developers come up with interesting apps and games extending the functionality of apple mobile devices. iOS4 and revisions enable multi-tasking between apps without slowing down the device or draining the battery.
