Looks like LG is finally making its foray into the world of smart phones running on Android OS. On July 5th LG announced its plans to launch almost ten new smart devices across the world by the end of 2010. LG targets the entry-level consumer as well as the premium and mid-level smart device customer with this new assortment of smart devices. With the exception of the LG Ally sometime back, LG has not done any smart phones for the Android.

The company will soon be debuting two of its smart phones by Q4 of 2010 – The LG Optimus One and the LG Optimus Chic.

  • The LG Optimus One will be running on Android 2.2 or Froyo. It will target the growing number of users for its “power phone’ features. It offers the users easy-to-use features and user interface.
  • The LG Optimus Chic will target the premium users to whom aesthetics of the phone are as important as the technology and would not mind paying for the qualitative difference. Of course the Chic is a exceptionally designed smart phone with soft and smooth lines.

Watch for these beauties from the LG stable by the end of the year and enjoy using these spectacular smart phones. Also LG mentioned that apart from the Android Smartphones it will also be releasing a Android Tablet which would hit the shelves by fourth quarter.
