Apple iPhone 4 16GB and 32GB Coming to India Via Airtel in October

Recently Apple released the iPhone 4 in US, France, Germany, United Kingdom and Japan and later announced during a press conference to explain the iPhone 4 signal issues that iPhone 4 will be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland from 30 July 2010. Many users are India are still expecting a solid date from Apple for iPhone 4 availability in India and today Airtel officially announced that iPhone 4 will hit the Indian market by September-October this year. Bharti Airtel has announced that after prolonged discussions with Apple they are planning to release the iPhone 4 in India as a Diwali gift.

Many of the iPhone 4 users are still facing signal reception issues and Apple has recently announced in a conference that they will provide Free iPhone 4 cases until September end. This gave raise to the thoughts that Apple might be preparing for a new iPhone 4 to solve the signal reception issues and the launch of iPhone 4 in India by Sep-Oct brings in the question if India would be getting the new models.

Apple iPhone 4 in India may not really be a very big hit as the prices would definitely be very high. Even the prices of iPhone 3GS in India are still far higher than the International markets. Most of the Indian users prefer to get an iPhone from their US friends and unlock iPhone 4 because of the high prices here in India.
