Screenshots of Pwnagetool 4.1 Out; Will Use Limera1n Exploit to Jailbreak iOS Devices

With first screenshots of Pwnagetool 4.1 hitting the Web, the jailbreaking community finds another reason to be happy. Being developed by the iPhone Dev team, the tool is likely to come in handy to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 on all iDevices.

The confirmation came when iPhone dev team member Musclenerd tweeted:

“PwnageTool screen about to get a lot more crowded again due to limera1n exploit (unlockers win most)”

PwnageTool 4.1 will support:

  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPhone 3G
  • iPod Touch 2G
  • iPod Touch 3G
  • iPod Touch 4G
  • iPad (Wi-Fi, 3G)
  • Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.1

PwnageTool 4.1 facts:

  • A jailbreaking tool for Mac users
  • Capable of helping users with a SIM-locked iPhone to create custom firmware to jailbreak iOS devices
  • Gets rig of the need to upgrade the baseband to upgrade firmware
  • Based on Geohot’s Limera1n USB exploit using Comex hacks
  • Facilitates unlocking your iPhone with ultrasn0w.

If you are on Windows platform, wait for tad longer. iH8sn0w is set to release an updated version of Sn0wbreeze. And we hear he will do it once the PwnageTool is released. Watch this space for more.
